Charism
The Charism of the Order is first and foremost to reconcile ourselves with Christ.
Kindness is too often left uncultivated because we do not sufficiently understand its value. Man may be charitable, merciful, and self-sacrificing, yet not kind. Kindness, as a grace, is not always sufficiently cultivated even among some devout people. Many devout people are unkind. There is sometimes a sort of spiritual selfishness in our devotion, which may interfere with kindness. This calls for much vigilance.
Kindness is the grand cause of God in the world. Where it is natural, it must be supernaturally planted. Our mission in life is to re-conquer for God's glory His unhappy world and give it back to Him. We devote ourselves to the beautiful apostolate of kindness, so that we and others may enjoy the bliss of Divine Life.
In support of this, each of the Brothers and Sisters, is required to read the Bible, study Philosophy, and study the Theology of the Catholic Church. This includes books by various authors in which the Brothers and Sisters discuss as a group. Each Member of the Order does their own Penance as required by the Priest, and participates in the Eucharist at a minimum of once weekly.
The next part of our Charism is to "Preach and Teach" to those that once knew the Holy Trinity, but have since fallen. We work with those that need to reconcile with God and "come back to the fold". We are Preachers in the hope of someday achieving the great works of St. Dominic and we teach, as evangelizers, in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.
